Medical ’11

The 2011 Medical Technology “Concept to Company” Competition was the 11th C2C competition. It took place from August to October 2011. The focus of the contest was on new medical device innovations.Over 40 well-qualified applicants applied to the contest and of those, eight finalists were chosen. The finalists presented their ideas to a panel of judges on Oct 19, 2011 at the USTAR BioInnovations Gateway Center in Salt Lake. At the conclusion of the judging, three winners were chosen and announced, but without the Grand Prize Winner being disclosed.

The following week, the three winners pitched their ideas in front of 300 professionals at MD4- The Utah Medical Device Summit at Thanksgiving Point. It was a great opportunity for the winners to share their ideas in front of the audience and crucial relationships were formed.

At the conclusion of the winner’s presentations, the Grand Prize Winner was announced and prizes were awarded.
