Medical ’12

The 2012 Medical Device & Technology “Concept to Company” Competition was the 15th C2C competition. It took place from September to November 2012. The focus of the contest was on medical device and technology innovations. Over 40 well-qualified applicants applied to the contest and of those, eight finalists were chosen. The finalists presented their ideas to a panel of judges on October 22, 2012 at the Zions Bank Tower in Salt Lake City. At the conclusion of the judging, three winners were chosen and announced, but the Grand Prize Winner was not disclosed at that time.

Two weeks later, the three winners pitched their ideas in front of 500 professionals at MD4 – BioUtah Summit at the Grand America. It was a great opportunity for the winners to share their ideas in front of the audience and crucial relationships were formed. At the conclusion of the winner’s presentations, the Grand Prize Winner was announced and prizes were awarded.
